I thought that miui 8 on redmi 3 would mean android 6.0 but i see with the last xiaomi.eu beta that it's not the case. it's still based on android 5.. May be we have to wait until middle of 2016 to get marshmallow on redmi note 3. moreover, mediatek must release their kernel support helio x10 for 6.0 also..

It is reported that the chinese technology giant will roll out google's latest operating system to most of its devices, including the redmi note 3 and redmi 3. xiaomi mi 5, mi max and mi 4 currently run android 6.0 marshmallow.. After sharing the list of xiaomi phones to get miui 7 update, we are back with another list of eligible xiaomi smartphones to receive android 6.0 marshmallow upgrade. most probably xiaomi mi5 would be the first xiaomi device to run on android marshmallow os out of the box..
